Support Groups

NAMI’s support groups are unique because they follow a structured model to ensure you and others in the group have an opportunity to be heard and to get what you need.

  • Free of cost to participants

  • Designed for adults (18+) with mental health conditions or loved one of individuals with mental health conditions

  • Led by people with mental health conditions

  • 60-90 minutes long and meets weekly, every other week or monthly (varies by location)

  • No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed

Connections Support Group

Connections Support Group is a support group for individuals experiencing a mental health condition. Individuals do not need a formal diagnosis to attend. These sessions takes place in an intimate, confidential setting to allow peers to share with each other their positives and negatives. This type of group lets you know that you are not alone and it is not your fault.

Family Support Group

The Family Connections Support Group is a support group for family members, caregivers, loved ones of someone living with the everyday challenges of a mental illness. These sessions take place in an intimate, confidential setting to allow families to share with each other their positives and negatives. This type of group lets you know that you are not alone and it is not your fault.
